Artificial Intelligence in Materials Science
Pizza lunch event looking into the new opportunities that artificial intelligence opens in materials science.
Materials platform organizes a pizza lunch event "Artificial Intelligence in Materials Science" on Thursday 5th of April in Nanotalo lobby. The event focuses on looking on AI from the perspective of materials researchers.
Everyone is welcome - no registration required.
Prof. Teemu Roos (University of Helsinki):
Probabilistic Machine Learning for Quantum Mechanics-Based Material Design
Prof. Patrick Rinke (Aalto University):
Data-driven approach to novel materials discovery
The combination of materials science & articificial intelligence is topical also from funding perspectives. There is an ongoing funding call 'Future Makers' by the Technology Industries of Finland Centennial Foundation (deadline 15.04). The topics of the call include artificial intelligence, platform economy, smart manufacturing, data-based materials science and technology, VR/AR.
